Students celebrate outstanding A Level Results

Pitsford School’s Class of 2023 have today been celebrating receiving their A level results. Results have been in line with those of last year, a most impressive performance bearing in mind the nationwide trends, following Ofqual-intervention, which have seen top grades fall by some 10% (a record fall). That Pitsford has bucked this trend is worthy of note and celebration. In addition, our Year 12, who complete the Extended Project Qualification a year early, all secured A* or A grades, which is simply outstanding.

Almost every student in Year 13 has been placed in their first or second choice university, and the majority of courses are at elite and high performing universities. Popular destinations include Birmingham, Newcastle and York, and courses include Law, Modern Foreign Languages, Sports Science, and Zoology.

The students who received their grades today have worked very hard indeed, in the most trying of circumstances, made more challenging still by the changes wrought by Ofqual, and they have done themselves proud and deserve credit and praise for their efforts.
