Pre-School is a vital year in your child’s journey before starting formal education. We understand that getting ready for ‘Big School’ can be daunting – but at Pitsford it’s what we do best.
Our dedicated and experienced staff work closely with our Reception team to ensure a smooth, natural transition. We’ve developed a tailored, scaffolded programme that’s designed specifically for the needs of children at Pitsford School – helping every child with their final year of Nursery.

Our Pre-Schoolers know they’re no longer the youngest – and they take pride in becoming role models for our younger pupils. This sense of responsibility helps build confidence, self-esteem and social maturity. For children joining us directly into Pre-School, we work closely with them (and with you) to ensure they feel secure, included, and ready to catch up with their peers -emotionally, Socially and developmentally.
