All pupils should be registered for entry into Pitsford School.

Registration costs £75 per family. Forms can be requested from school.

Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis for entry into the Squirrels (Reception) class at the start of the academic year.

Children will be invited into school during the Spring Term for a familiarisation afternoon.

For entry into J1-J2:
Children will spend a day in school during which they will be assessed informally.

For entry into J3-J6:

Children will spend a day in school during which they will be assessed formally for literacy and numeracy skills.

Following a successful visit, and a satisfactory report from the previous school, we will then make a formal offer of a place. To secure this place, a deposit of £600 is paid, which will be reimbursed when the pupil leaves.

The offer of a place is subject to the prospective pupil’s performance in the entrance assessment and a satisfactory report from their previous school.

Once an offer of a place is accepted, parents pay an Acceptance Deposit of £600 (reimbursed when the pupil leaves the School). This is however forfeited if the place is not taken up.

Pupils are admitted to the Sixth Form subject to satisfactory attainment and potential, as well as a satisfactory report from the Head of their previous school(s).

Our normal minimum requirements for entry into the Sixth Form will be predicted grades of at least six GCSE grades 9-6. In addition a grade 7 will normally be expected in each GCSE subject to be continued at A Level.

After registering, candidates will be invited in for an interview with the Headmaster.

The offer of a place is subject to the prospective pupil’s successful interview and achievement of the required GCSE grades.

Upon acceptance of the offer of a place, parents are asked to pay a £600 Acceptance Deposit. This deposit is reimbursed to parents when the pupil leaves the School but is forfeited should the place not be taken up.

Pupils who wish to join Pitsford before Sixth Form are invited to come in for a taster morning and entrance assessment which is administered in the afternoon at the school. This way the children can experience a little of what it is like to attend Pitsford and it allows us to get a more rounded understanding of your son or daughter too.

Most year 7 entrants will attend a specific day in November where they can experience the school before going on to complete the assessment, but individual arrangements can be made throughout the year for any age.
