Mrs R L Heard BA NPQH
Head of the Junior School and the J5 Class Teacher
A graduate of Surrey University, Mrs Heard has taught full time for twenty-five years. She began her career in a Northampton lower school and
since then has taught in schools in Northamptonshire and Leicestershire, across all primary age groups and the Early Years Foundation Stage. Her senior leadership roles have included Deputy Head and Headteacher in two primary schools.
Mrs Heard has a passion for promoting the science curriculum and providing pupils with opportunities to ask questions, investigate and work
scientifically. She has participated in the Primary Science Quality Mark programme and is committed to developing positive attitudes towards science throughout the school.
She is also an enthusiastic pianist and church organist who has led the primary music curriculum in a number of schools and enjoys accompanying
the pupils in assemblies and performances. Mrs Heard leads the choir in events and competitions, encouraging all to have fun whilst singing.
Her aim is to provide all pupils in the Junior School with a fully rounded education and personalised learning journey, thus enabling all pupils
to achieve their best.

Mr. O Auckland
Junior School Class Teacher
Mr Auckland joined Pitsford School in September 2014. He has 10 years’ experience of teaching Key Stage 2. On arriving at Pitsford School, Mr Auckland said ‘the small class sizes and superb facilities mean I can spend more time helping individual children make progress. I love the fact that sports and physical activity are a daily part of school life.’

Mrs M Conroy BA
Modern Foreign Languages (Junior School)
After graduating in Paris, I decided to come over to England as a French assistant for two years at Leicester QE Sixth Form College. I loved teaching and after this experience I then, decided to apply to do my PGCE at Leicester University. I worked in a number of schools across Leicestershire before I joined Pitsford School.
In 1996, I got married and have three wonderful children. I love swimming, sailing and running. I am proud to have sailed across the channel a few times on an 8 metre boat. I love sharing my culture and my language with the children of Pitsford School and have done so for more than a decade.
Mrs J Cowie BA
Junior School Class Teacher
Mrs Cowie loves the stimulating environment of working in a school and the fact that every day is different. Having previously taught in Edinburgh at the oldest independent school in Scotland, she loves the gentle nature of Pitsford School.
Mrs Cowie enjoys foreign travel and has probably covered most of the World in her travels. She enjoys skiing, canoeing and rugby and used to play rugby for Heriot- Watt University.
Mrs S Goode BSc ECON
Junior School Class Teacher
Mrs Goode arrived at Pitsford School in September 1999 and has mainly been teaching in KS2 since then. Mrs Goode read Politics and American Studies at University and spent a year at Louisiana State University, as part of the degree course; she completed her PGCE at Aberystwyth University
