The curriculum for Sixth Form at Pitsford School is designed around ‘traditional’ subjects. We offer the three sciences, Mathematics and Further Mathematics, three Modern Foreign Languages, History and Geography. In addition, we offer BTech in PE, Art and Economics. We believe this breadth of facilitating A levels ensures that our students can deepen their knowledge to support career and university ambitions in any field, while ensuring that they secure the A levels and grades to make them attractive to employers and universities.
In addition, in Year 12, our students complete the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) which develops further the breadth of their learning which will support them in their next step in academia and beyond.
More information in this can be found in our prospectus and options booklet (see below).
Most pupils entering the Lower Sixth will choose four subjects to study in the first year, continuing with either all four subjects or three of their chosen subjects in the Upper Sixth.
Please see our A Level Options Booklet for more information on each of the subjects available.
