The level of award varies, taking into account individual circumstances and performance in the Scholarship Examinations. The percentage offered will range for a nominal offer of 5% up top 100% of the tuition fees payable.

Once awarded, a Scholarship will usually continue until completion of the Upper Sixth, assuming no change in financial circumstances and satisfactory progress is made by the pupil. Our Scholars will be expected to play a full and active role in school role.

Candidates wishing to apply for a Scholarship will be invited to sit two papers on those subjects that they wish to study at A Level. They will also attend a short interview with the Headmaster.

This scholarship was initiated to commemorate Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother’s association with Pitsford School. It is awarded annually to one pupil who already attends the School, is in receipt of a bursary and whose academic progress is deemed to be exceptional.

There are two Sixth Form scholarships at the School. These means-tested scholarships celebrate the life and work of Keith Duckworth, co-founder of Cosworth Engineering, who died in December 2005. The Keith Duckworth Scholarship is open to pupils from families of modest means, who would otherwise be unable to attend an independent school, and who are studying Physics and Mathematics at A Level.
