A level results – A testament to hard work

Posted: 16th August 2020

Well Done to all our Year 13!

We made it to results day and your A level results for 2020 were outstanding.

Almost 40% of grades secured at A*-A, and 80% at A*-C, these are our top results for many years. There has been much controversy surrounding exam results this year and whilst there are a few appeals to be made we are proud that the Pitsford results were largley upheld which is a testament to the hard work of both students and teachers.

Almost all Year 13s secured their first choice university places, to institutions including Imperial College London, the University of Exeter, University of Leeds, University of Nottingham, University of Lancaster and the University of Cardiff.

All our students performed exceptionally well, but particular mention should be made of William Carter who secured an outstanding three A* and one A grades, and who will read Molecular Bio Engineering at Imperial College. We should also mention the amazing achievement of both David Shortland and Christopher Leeke who took thier Maths A level a year early…. both achieving A*s in the process!

We are so proud of all our A level students who have displayed a high level of maturity and resilience during this strangest of years. Well done to you all and we wish you the best of luck in all of your onward journeys.
